So I think it's fair to say that episode last night was AWESOME!
I really liked some back story to the Ben vs Widmore story but I think there is still more there. Do we know why Widmore was banished? Was it because of his wife and Penny or were there other reasons? and when Ben first went to the camp his hair was soo luxurious! hahaha
I really like the New Locke much better than the Old Locke. This one is much more put together, looks cleaner, and far less whiny and that's a huge plus in my book!
Best part of the whole thing... Desmond beating the crap out of Ben! When he shot Des and then was about to shoot Penny and little Charlie came out, oh my goodness, I was going to be so mad if they hurt little Charlie!, but then duh-duh-duh-da! Desmond pummels Ben and tosses him into a nicely shot underwater scene with floating blood and everything!
God I love this show! Next week looks to be good as well with a Miles episode that I've been waiting some time for.

Yes!! I can't wait to finally hear Miles' story.
Last night's ep was great, and I'm glad to see that Penny is not dead cuz I was convinced she was sleeping with the fishes. I, too, wonder what the real story is with Widmore and Ben, because that surely isn't all of it.
The look on Sun's face when she saw Locke? Priceless!
Also- trying to make Ben look 20? Total fail... lol. Nice wig though. And how did Ethan become one of the others?

I was wondering how this came about as well. Maybe they will show a little of that insight as well in the future episodes.
and I agree that a younger ben looked awful!
Oh and I forgot earlier that I thought it was great when Ben tried to convince Caesar that Locke was already from the island and pulled the same trick that Ben used in the beginning. AND (gee I forgot a lot!) I'm SUPER glad that Caesar got the boot but I certainly didn't see that coming, it made me jump but he deserved it, he had a bad accent and was annoying.
Also the end scene when Ben was being judged by the smoke monster was pretty interesting. I wasn't sure how that was going to play out and then they let him live but then Alex came out and you could that it wasn't quite her by her mannerisms. And then she went crazy on Ben and scared the crap out of him... that was pretty great as well. But will he listen to her and follow Locke? I doubt it.

Once again, after reading a recap of the ep I forgot to mention a few interesting points...
"what lies in the shadow of the statue?"
- who ARE these people and why do THEY know so much about the island? I assume they mean that 4-toed, egyptian thing
what is the real relationship between the Others and the whispers?
finally, is locke dead or alive (island style)? I tend to not trust Ben but every now and again he's actually telling the truth, so maybe what's dead IS dead.

yeah i want to know more about these people! i'm assuming they work for widmore again but maybe not. i'm glad that they are doing something with these people though & not just making them be more plane crash survivors. it could be interesting.
what is the real relationship between the Others and the whispers?
and how do they do it? i liked that ben said when you hear them to run in the other direction. so obviously its them, but why? and how? and why does the smoke monster sound like crickets or some kind of bug? (at least thats what it reminds me of)
i thought the episode was really good! loved when Alex was choking Ben! and i loved when Ben was messing with Ceasar & told him that he didnt remember Locke from the plane. that was awesome!
i really really want to know more about Richard Alpert too! he's character seems so interesting! Next week's Miles episode looks like it will be a good one too - i hope they explain how he can talk to dead people!

I really didn't like this episode. Locke was getting on my nerves for some reason and all the scenes with Ben under the temple were so hokey and contrived. I was almost embarrassed to be watching. I really love Ben and was dying for a Ben episode but I was disappointed.
Is Cesar really dead? If so that would be cool because I couldn't stand him.
Oh, and totally random, but why does Frank sometimes remind me of Sawyer?!

Of all the Lost episodes this one would probably be exactly in the middle. We find out that Michael is actually the spy on the freighter going by the name of "Kevin Johnson". He acts as a spy because he wants to redeem himself after what he killed Ana Lucia and Libby.
