Amazing Race 10/11: Passport Shenanigans & Monkey Business

So bummed that Zev & Justin were the ones who lost their passports. I was so hoping that it was Lance, who it has been determined, is a giant douche.

Yeah, that was a serious bummer. Should've figured something was up when they kept talking about karma. There was too much focus on the airport b.s. early in the show. I got a kick out of the challenge where they had to find the hotel that Jaqueline Kennedy stayed because I had already begun interupting the show with my own Dead Kennedy's tribute as soon as they hit Phnom Penh.

Loved all the surgical masks at the airport. I wonder if they were guarding against bird flu or swine flu? If I was there & saw all those empoyees with masks, I'd be asking where I go to get mine!

Was anyone else kind of shocked that so many of them didn't recognize Jackie Kennedy? I know they're young, but isn't she considered a world reknown figure?

Sad to see the guys go. I really was rooting for them. Why couldn't it have happened to Lance and Janice? On second thought, good thing it wasn't Lance. He would have blamed Keri and karate kicked her in the kidney.

Agreed. I could tell that was Jackie-O on my crappy 19" television. I was also shocked that people stumbled over "Phnom Penh." Don't they teach geography anymore?

Such a bummer about Zev and Justin. :sad: Especially since they were in 1st place this leg. They really seemed like good guys and they were nice to their cab drivers, always a good sign. And I loved when Zev would tell the cabbies "I'm going to tell your mother!" like that was the most terrible threat.

I really loved the monkey challenge. Most of the contestants got really into it, and they all looked so cute and funny.

The look on Phil's face when douchebag Lance did his karate kick at the mat was priceless.

I thought it was funny that Zev (or was it Justin?) went to hug the surgical masked Airport person who was going to let them on the flight. If she is scared enough of germs to wear a mask - what makes you think she wants a full body hug? lol

Haha, ya. I found that kind of strange too. But the lady was cute. Before she hugged Justin she told him he was so nice!

I thought it was just me that was feeling "old" - knowing who Jackie O was (and where Cambodia was and how to pronounce Phnom Penh). Glad to see I wasn't the only one!

So far, there are no really jerk teams - Lance comes closest but on the Jerk/douche scale even he's pretty far down compared to teams on season's past. Maybe TAR could do an "allstar" edition of greatest douches from season's past - that would be some good tv watching!

Once again CBS sucks with a 4:15 start here in Philly. Football still not over, second week with an OT. AR will be at least 40 minutes late. I am DVRing anyway due to Phillies game. Have to set my DVR accordingly.

We are in OT here too. I'm watching the Bills/Jets game & it's tied 13-13. The Jets have the ball so they will probably win, but Amazing Race is going to be way late. Thank god I get the west coast broadcast at 11pm.
