Amazing Race 10/25: Two Minute Warning!

Well, the challenges weren't that taxing, but the extreme heat was definitely tuff to take.

All that gold... do you think it was real?

I don't think I could have ever gone down that water slide either..... but a million dollars would have been a big incentive to try. She just shut down & there was no way she was ever going to do it. The Globetrotters were terrible to tease her like that, but really "Bitch, get outta the way!" I was surprised when Phil said they were the last team to arrive & not that they didn't complete their task.

...oh & I loved the beauty queen's meltdown over the hookas. She just sat there & stewed, not even helping, just seething in anger, all diva-like.

Loved the poker players & the brothers working together to figure out the gold.

....and I was really happy that the football game didn't screw up the start of the show!

There were so many great lines this episode, I was cracking up!!

"Do it for the hood, Easy!" "Do it for the suburbs, Dan!" :lol:

"Do Muslim clocks work different?"

"Why do you hate me, Canaan?" "Because you're a moron. GO DOWN THE SLIDE!"

I can't believe that they spent the whole episode in Dubai, virtually guaranteeing that Malibu Barbie and Ken would win again. It seems a little unfair IMO.

And what was it with Maria (or is it Tiffany?) not doing the roadblock again. Has she still only done one? I hope she has to start doing them soon!

I don't like it either when they have 2 episodes in the same place.

That slide is scary, but once you go down it's not bad at all. And for a million bucks. She needed to pysch herself into going.

I so hope that the very first roadblock that Maria is forced to do is some kind of rock climbing. She didn't even hesitate when she saw that some form of exertion was needed she said something like "Looks physical, you do it."

And I don't blame Big Easy for telling her not to do it if she's scared. She was clearly at that point, anyway, so he was just making sure she stayed there. Plus, if all four of them went down the slide in succession, I think it's pretty likely the Globetrotters would have won a foot race, anyway.

I could not believe what a jerk he was trying to throw her down that slide. I'm guessing that they've broken up.

The pit stop from last week was some beautiful resort and then the pit stop from this week was the Atlantis Resort. Man the Amazing Racers this season are getting off easy with the pit stop locations.

Oh and how cute did Phil look in his little sun hat.

That gold challenge seemed interesting - do you suppose they had to clear the scale each time? I was thinking - leave everything on the scale and just add or take away when you get the new total. Smart of those boys to pack a calculator.

Do you think those poker girls still think those two brothers are straight?

There are always challenges that have to do with water and heights, if you are in such fear of both than why would you apply?
I am absolutly terrified of snakes, if there is one in the neighbors yard I will hide in the house until it is gone afraid of them, I could never ever go on Survivor because there are always snakes and no place to hide from them until they are dead.

This episode stressed me out because the Trotters were so close to being eliminated. I love them but I thought who looks at a clock and thinks 873? But I know that being in the stress of the race, you don't always think clearly. Also, while heckling Mika wasn't the nicest thing to do, it's a game! And everyone on this race has been entirely too nice to each other so far. But I certainly don't think Big Easy is a piece of crap like Canaan stated. In fact, I'm pretty sure that if Big Easy had a partner that was refusing to go down the slide, he wouldn't have tried to throw her down. I know Canaan was frusterated, but what an ass! The worst possible way to deal with someone who is panicking is to yell at them and make them feel unsafe. And did anyone else notice, at the end Mika mentioned that she felt like she let Canaan down. Usually when a team mate says that, the other team mate pipes in with something like "you didn't let me down" but Canaan said nothing. Way to support her.

But Canaan is a nice Christian virgin, so God will forgive him for being such an ass to his girlfriend.

Another hum-drum episode except for the water slide drama. Ever since Zev and Justin were eliminated I'm not rooting for anyone so that kind of takes the fun out of the race. I need to pick a new favorite team.

Pick the Globetrotters - they seem to be pretty cool for the most part. I loved how they were able to handle the math of the gold seemingly faster than anyone else.

Next week they look like they'll be cute in their dance outfits.

I agree with Tink...

I picked them day one, mainly because I remember The Globetrotters of the 70's from when I was a kid and, to the best of my knowledge, they have always been a very classy group of guys. Who over the age of 40 does not remember Curly, Meadowlark and the rest of the gang back then?

The Globetrotters totally won me over this episode. I was sold when the one was having a hard time with the watch challenge (doh!) the other guy was really supportive - even as all the other teams passed them up. He never lost his temper with the poor guy. And even told him good job when he finally figured it out- I thought that was totally classy. Especially when you think of what the other teams would have done to each other. They would have been berrating each other - it would have been ugly.

Ok, Canaan - abusive much! No means no and "Let go of me" means "Let go of me", not "try to thrown me dangerously down this crazy slide" Yes she wimped ok big time but I imagine going down that slide wrong could be dangerous.
Loving the globetrotters. They seem to keep things in perspective and support each other.
And what is with none of the women in the couple teams doing any of the physical challenges? STOP BEING USELESS!!!

Everyone is bagging on canaan, but Floaties Girl had issues too. Remember the she when she pulled a clue out of the clue box, ripped off the top, threw the zip strip on the ground, and said to Canaan, ''Pick that up.'' Then she pulled the clue out of the envelope, tossed the envelope on the ground, and again said to Canaan, ''Pick that up.''

I'da wanted to push her too.
