OMG, Tink, you're rite! I haven't seen some of these guys and I assumed it's b/c I don't read all the threads, like BB or Rockstar, thot maybe they were posting on there. But I did notice Derder hsn't been around---maybe it's b/c of back-to-school stuff? I do miss her comments on Gossip thread. & Mulv! It goes without saying that if he DOESN'T reply and the meeting doesn't take place, that it's his loss. But my guess is that if you have been emailing for awhile and he wants to meet, there is a forgivable reason for him not responding. I always jump to conclusions with situations like this, and then have to recall the giant shipment of Depends I had sent to the person's workplace when I realize there is a rational explanation for their behavior.

I'm no longer one of the Missing Persons. The Dominican was awesome. However, I got Irish skin from my mom, so I do not do well in the sun at all. It's impossible for me to tan: I burn, and then it peels off and it's pale underneath again. Well, I got what must have been second-degree burns while we were there, and now I'm peeling like a motherfucker. A friend took pictures, so if I can get them from her, you can bet your asses they'll appear here.

Speaking of my friend, who knew Dominican men went crazy for blondes? She must have gotten propositioned for sex at least 50 times. We couldn't even eat without every single waiter giving her their numbers. Several proposed to her on the spot, and one on our last night said, "Just let me have your body once before you leave."

Anyway, I'll probably be a little scarce around here for a little bit, since I'm two weeks behind on all the shows, so I have to kind of avoid you guys. But update me if anything crazy happened, i.e. B-Side is running for President, etc.

A couple pictures from the Dominican:

The first is me and some dude who wanted me to buy stuff from his store. He did give me a free Tiki necklace, though. I don't know why my smile looks so girly. Just ignore it.

The second is this crazy French woman who sat next to us on the boat we took to go swimming with sharks and sting rays (which was abso-fucking-lutely terrifying, having sharks bigger than me swimming a foot below me).

After the swimming, the boat quickly turned into a giant dance party, as they blared a mixture of reggae and American 90s pop hits, while we all got drunk on rum and coconut milk. The French woman and her husband did a hilarious swing dance, and she decided it was okay to get naked and change her swimming suit on the top deck, as evidenced by the third picture.

The fourth is what happens to me when I go in the sun, even with SPF 40 sunblock.

The fifth is, I don't know, another picture of me on the party boat.

It's moved on to the peeling stage, and it's even worse than the burning. The itching has almost stopped, so that's good, but when I get out of bed in the morning, a flurry of what looks like snow follows me. I should take a picture of this bed. It's absolutely coated in skin flakes. It's horrible. Needless to say, the date (or was it not a date? I hate when it's not clear) I had last night was not a success. Once I get the picture of my chest from my sister, I'll put it on here. Those burns were about 10 times worse and I believe I have some permanent scarring on the top of my right... uh... tit. Sexy.

Believe me, all I could think of while I wore that necklace was Greg Brady and his horrible wipe-out while he was surfing. I actually panicked when I realized I was wearing it on the plane, but when the first plane didn't crash, I wasn't sure if I should take it off for the second plane, just to be sure, or if I should leave it on, because maybe it was the only thing keeping the first plane safe. Little did that man know how much of a dilemma I would have about his little 20 cent necklace.

And I didn't take the picture of the package! That was one of the girls I was with. She somehow lost the picture of him standing with a red giant foam floaty thing between his legs, completely oblivious to what it looked like. Or the pictures of him relaxing with one leg up on the railing, his legs spread as wide as can be. Either he was really proud of his nasty body, or he's just totally clueless.

Where to start........ do you really want to know.... I have had 5 of the busiest days .... since... Christmas??? I was just over whelmed and couldn't get to my addiction like I usually do......

And can I just state here I had one of the hardest school board meetings I have ever had, (yeah,, I am an elected official too) well one of the 3 worst meetings ever!... and I am just so glad to be here and let my mind go... I need to unwind and I actually think after I finish half this bottle of vodka I will be sleeping ALL day tomorrow... I sure am not answering the freakin' phone!

I had to speak up - Can the few who seem to still care please get over the falsely perceived "competition" between TVgasm.com and **************************? Two different sites, two different personalities, large crossover readership. Who cares?

Guess what? madeyoulaugh reads *** on occasion and - gasp! - linked it, mentioned EdHill, and gave it props a couple Lost recaps ago. I read TVgasm on occasion. Flipit posts there - hell, he posted on Umnata's American Idol recap on *** which is a show HE recaps for TVgasm before he recapped it! B-Side and J-Unit post comments there AND here. At least half of the "missing persons" list have come to enjoy (perhaps) the *** recaps. It's OK. They are ADULTS and can make such choices. Christ.

Spring is in the air, TVgasm is succeeding quite nicely despite the departure of some writers, *** is still finding its niche and we're all having fun and making a few people laugh along the way. The forums here are far, far more active and the volume of recaps here is far, far greater.

And we're all fine with that. One hopes that the forum communities can come to grips with that at some point as well and stop acting like you'll catch the plague if you venture in the dirty pirate hooker waters of ***.

Sounds like you're the one having trouble getting over it since you keep bringing it up. Or are you just hoping to create more traffic for your site by causing drama over here?

'Tis aimed at no one in particular. Just trying to get the point across that the perceived animosity b/w 2 different websites is just that - perceived. The torch, such as it is, is only carried on by less than 1% of the readerships in the forums and I'm trying to say enough is enough - which is exactly what I did at the other site 2 or 3 months ago.

Any prior slights on both sides were immature and ill-advised and many moons ago.

Maybe it's just me (it often is), but I get the feeling that some people actually think that there is some sort of competition or that readers must make a choice or something. And that's just weird.

That may just be you. And if it's less than 1% of the readership than it may not be worth mentioning. The only reason it's obvious here is because of the *** not showing up. And we as readers/posters have no control over that. Most of us have gotten past the whole drama from before. Most of us have obvious preferences as to which site we like better, but I don't know if I've ever seen a negative thing posted here about your site. I think the basic point is, most of us don't really care too much anymore, but you still post these rants every once in a while. It's confusing, especially after saying you aren't going to anymore and that you don't care.

Aw Tink, I miss you too. I hate to dump all my personal shit, but here goes...

I got a job at a new entertainment company and I promote this rap group thats "blowing up" in the south. I'm pretty sure I'm going to quit law school, and of course my parents are very unhappy. The whole thing is pretty depressing, but my new job is what I've always wanted to do. I'm 25 (as of 4/10) I can go back to law school in a couple of years if I want to. Needless to say, I'm super busy, and I don't have time for extra stuff.
The thing is, I want to be rich now, not four or five years from now. I miss my fellow gasmii and I promise to check in as much as possible. I still read my recaps and my DVR works overtime. So, until next time...

PS I still haven't gotten over J Unit. :(

TOS is ************************** and has many of the posters from this site popping back and forth......TOS is a TB free zone... which after TB's remarks about Jordin is a big pull..... but the recaps even though are remarkable in writing and wit are long in coming ... but they are one page.. so no 9 pages of clicking to get through a Schoonie Survivor recap.... the writers were originally here before TB came and stank up the newsgasm area of this site.
