Wow, these are very cool! Where did you find them all? I am a HUGE Survivor (US) fan and I didn't realize that there were so many international versions. You say Sweden had the first Survivor? Really? I thought the US did. Maybe it's just wishful thinking.

Interesting that you did not post any South American Survivors. Do they exist? Where do you send someone from Brazil or Peru for Survivor? Greenland?

I thought it was interesting to note that many of these shows are shot in the same places as the US version. Like Panama and Vanauatu. I wonder if they shoot them all at once? What a boon to the local economy.

Of the few openers I watched, I really liked the Finland - Expedition Robinson. It had a spooky red line going through the scenes. Ominous. The Russian S6 was very tribal, primitive. I like the vibe of the opener and wonder if the series is more hardcore than the US's.

Another thing I noticed while watching these was that only the UK and US versions mentioned the money prize in the opening credits. Interesting.

All in all, this is a fun post! I would love to know where you found these and if any of the episodes are available to watch. I wonder if reality TV "stars" are as vapid and ridiculous in other countries as they are in the US?

Swedish Expedition Robinson aired in 1998. Mark Burnett saw the first season and bought the rights to it for the American market in 1999. By 2000, he retooled it and made it into the first "Survivor."

Argentina, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador, Venezuela all had versions. Unfortunately, people in those countries have to be able to post episodes online... I only have what people have upload somewhere online.

A lot of the European versions use the same production company named Strix. Strix usually will shoot all the versions at the same time to save money. In 2003, they shot Sweden, Denmark, Norway, Netherlands & Belgium, Finland, Greece versions simulatneously in Malaysia.

Yup... there are episodes around to be watched... you just have to know where to look though. hehe... I'm trying to track down Mountain Dew Survivor Pakistan... Mountain Dew bought the rights for the Pakistan version.
