So summer is coming, so that means it's time for summer TV shows! It's also a great time to catch up on shows you missed that are out on DVD. What will you be watching?

I'll be watching The Closer when it starts up again this summer. I think Kathy Griffin: My Life on the D List will be returning as well! Treasure Hunters sounds like it could be promising as well as Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency. I'm going to try Big Brother again since everyone here loves it so much. I watched the first couple of seasons off and on, but it never really caught my interest.

For my DVD viewing...I'm ashamed to admit I only started watching 24 this season, so I'll be catching up on that. I don't get HBO, so I'll also be watching Deadwood season 2. Is season 2 of Carnivale ever going to come out?? My family raves about House MD as well, so I might watch that if I have time.

I also like "The Closer"- It seems like we are kind of inundated with crime mysteries on TV, but I do like this one.
Kathy Griffin- absolutely! Love that show.
And I haven't heard about Janice Dickenson Modeling Agency- but you know I will be watching that one!!! (when does it start? what is the premis?)
And whoislain- just so you know- I watched the Big Brother season one for as long as I could tolerate it and it sucked!! I gave up after a week or so. But after all of B-Sides promotion last year of BB6 I thought I would give it another shot. You can't even begin to imagine how fabulous and addicting this show is! You can subscribe to live feeds on your computer and watch it 24/7 if you wish. I would be in bed at 1am with my computer on my lap watching the feeds. I COULD NOT shut them off!!! My husband would be yelling at me to turn the computer off already. Give it another shot- (but make yourself watch up through the second week)- you will not be disappointed!

I laugh everytime I see a promo for "House"....it just sounds like a weird name, I dunno. How good is that series? Maybe I should give it a try....

I know, there are far too many crime shows on TV today. I used to be really into Homicide back in the day, but I hadn't watched any other crime shows until my mom got me hooked on The Closer. Kyra Sedgwick is just so great in that character. She's so witty and charming, but I also love when she gets tough on the criminals. The writers also manage to keep the stories fairly fresh and interesting.

Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency starts June 6 on Oxygen.

OK, derder, I will definitely give Big Brother a shot! At the very least, the Chenbot is good for some laughs!

I've never seen an episode of House, but I keep hearing how good it is. I'm kind of tired of medical dramas, but I hear Hugh Laurie is so great in the role that it is worth watching.

I'm watching the first season of House on DVD right now. The show is a little formulaic, but Hugh Laurie is so good in it. They've got great writers. And Jesse Spencer is cute. There. I said it.

I've never seen a season of Big Brother before, but TVgasm has made me really excited about this upcoming one, so I'll watch that for sure. Treasure Hunters looks good, but does anyone know when it's supposed to premiere?

Double L, please tell me what you know about The 4400 (re: how many seasons total, if/when it's coming on again, and what station it's on). I watched it during a marathon airing of the first season some time ago, and got really interested, but then life interfered and I hadn't thought of it again until I saw your note. I would definitely watch it that this summer -- from beginning to whatever end.

Did you ever see series Taken?? I rented it from BB last year and thoroughly enjoyed it. One of the guys in The 4400 (Joel Gretsch??) also starred in Taken.

I am an avid Stargate 1 watcher (especially the older episodes with Richard Dean Anderson as a regular -- what a sense of humor that guy/character has) but haven't gotten into Stargate SG1/Atlantis. Maybe this summer will be a good time to check it out. BTW, nothing wrong with being a dork.:D

Haha, I'm a big dork too. I love sci fi. Battlestar Galactica is my favorite TV show at the moment. Right now I'm enjoying Doctor Who on the Sci-Fi channel.

I've heard really good things about Dead Zone, but I've never seen it. Anybody here watch it? Maybe I'll try that one this summer too.

Curses!!!! I don't get Oxygen. Would you or someone out there consider sharing your snarks/comments about Janice and the show once it airs?? I wonder if she will have Omarosa as a guest.

When does Project Runway 3 debut? This has to be my favorite show. And a shout out to my homeboy sg-dub for plugging it last season so much that I had to check it out. I only wish I knew someone who was on it or that I wasn't so afraid of my sewing machine.

Sure, no problem! I'll let you know how it is. That would be great if Omarosa was on! Actually, they should really just have a cage match or something. I'd pay to see that!

I admit to watching Dead Zone, too. I like watching marathon style and saw it a couple of years ago on the Sci-Fi channel. It's a supernatural type series. If you can rent it or find it on tv, it's worth watching ... wouldn't recommend spending money on a dvd (not sure if it's even on a dvd).

So's ya' know, I'll watch about anything on tv unless it has 5th-Element-style Bruce Willis or Sharon Stone in it.

THere are 3 big reality shows I can't wait for this summer. Big Brother 7, Project Runway 3 and Hell's Kitchen.

I saw an ad for the new Hell's Kitchen last night. It was awesome. I think in one clip he actually kicked a girl in her uterus.

Also, I must implore everyone to watch "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" on FX. Second season starts June 29th. Damn funny show. Really black comedy. sg-dub turned me on to it.

I am going to be watching Big Brother, Hell's Kitchen, Project Runway 3 and Rockstar Supernova. I am happy to hear you guys will be covering Rockstar. Will you be doing the online show or just the 2 that are going to be on tv which are the singing and the results. This year they are putting the "drama" show on MSN video only. I really really enjoyed Rockstar last year and I am hoping that the Supernova band isn't going to ruin it this year for me, having Tommy Lee in it and all.

My number one answer to this? Rescue Me.

I am so excited that S3 starts in like a week and a half! What an amazing show. Gaaaah. EXCITED!

Other than that - I think I'll probably watch Project Runway, because so many of my friends loved it, but mostly I think I'll be netflixing stuff I've never seen (I love Netflixing TV shows) and watching the new Doctor Who.

EdHill, I've seen a couple of eps on IASinPA and loved the dark humor.

Another show on FX that I just can't help but watch when I run across it with the remote is Starved. There's some controversy about the subject matter, but it makes me like it even more.

Have you or anyone else seen that one?

So many shows, so little time...

I'm looking forward to:
Big Brother All-Stars (Woohoo!!)
The 4400
The Hills
Rescue Me - I've never seen this, but heard a lot of good things.
Hell's Kitchen

I think I saw an episode of "It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia" once, something about the guys accidentally turning their bar into a gay bar, and I really liked it. I might just have to throw that one on my TiVo as well.

Keep in mind, all of these shows are going to have to take a backseat to my viewing of Veronica Mars, Season 1.

Firecat-- Are you referring to the medical drama on Fox? If so, I love it! House is one intelligent, sexy and sarcastic S.O.B.-- good stuff.

P.S. Love the Che!
