Actually the best quote of the night is the title of the episode: "Oh, Wow! It's Like One of Those Things You See on TV!" David & Mary never cease to amaze me. I love that special moment David was having while driving and remembering his father in Vietnam and then Mary interrupts the special moment to yell at him to hurry up because this is a race! I hope Mary recovers fast, I'd hate to lose them so early.

And thank God-win! Win/Win actual wins!

And the best image of the night was Peter & Sarah's run for the Pit Stop... or was that Peter running through the mud while Sarah was actually crawling on all four through the mud... way to be supportive Peter!

And the best Phil quote of the night was said to The Gays while waiting at the Pit Stop: "This must suck, huh?"

I went with the song reference because of the whole father theme that was going on tonight. :)

or was that Peter running through the mud while Sarah was actually crawling on all four through the mud... i thought the same thing when i saw that! Peter was so far ahead of her, i was yelling at him to turn around and freaking carry her through the rice patty! sheesh!!

i couldnt believe when duke wanted to wait for that native woman at the airport. that was the beginning of the end for them. and then when she wanted to get dropped off at her brothers first, haaaa. she was just using them for the free taxi ride! just like in the family edition when the girl used the one family's bus to get dropped off at work instead of taking them to the detour location. i love when the locals so that!

Did anyone catch Cletus', I mean David's pronunciation of "followed"? It was a right purdee: "fallered." I didn't think people actually spoke like that.

And I know that at least HoneyBunny was looking: three weeks in and still no Philpackage! (Damn you long shirt!)

Bummer about Duke and Lauren, they were one of my favorite teams.

i couldnt believe when duke wanted to wait for that native woman at the airport. that was the beginning of the end for them.

Yep, waiting for her wasn't a very good idea, but they still bunched up with all the other teams at the prison. Their downfall was getting separated from everyone at the detour. If they had gotten to the fuel option with everyone else, they probably would have finished with enough time to get to the Phil and beat Tom & Jerry.

Speaking of Tom & Jerry, I am completely on the beauty queens' side regarding "cutting in line." Those guys walked past the open ticket agent, and the girls did nothing wrong when they went there for their tickets. You snooze, you lose guys.

I don't hate anyone yet, but I strongly dislike Peter. Rob and Kimberly weren't so bad this episode.

Thank you Ms. T...I was looking (btw - is it wrong to use binoculars to watch for packages?) and we were denied once again. Boo Phil!

Peter needs to be bitch-slapped. Sarah crawling thru the rice paddies while he is running ahead of her and shouting back 'words of encouragement.' OH NO YOU DIDN'T!

Once they're off the race, I hope Sarah stays with Peter just long enough for him to fix up her busted hydraulic leg, then dumps his sorry, condescending, whiny ass, at which time it’ll likely get the male attention it obviously craves. I’d love to just reach in through the TV and ask T&T whether their gaydar has been going off.

Maybe Dwight could lend them his http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UZOQQnv3fVA

I too was sad to see Duke and Lauren go. It was a good episode though b/c the Win/Wins proved they CAN win, and Mary entertained us once again with her atiitude and compassion at the end. I really hope her and hubby stick around. Peter is seriously annoying, but he must have been reaaly good at making bricks b/c they seemd to finish fast. I felt really bad for the gays that had to wait out their penalty, but that's the way it goes in the Race!:)

So Duke and Lauren didn't make it? They were the RI home team for me. I didn't like Duke, but Lauren was a sweetheart. I only saw the first half. I didn't realize there was a football game that would run long and neither did my DVR! :( I can't wait for the recap to find out what happens. I only made it up to the beginning of the flower selling roadblock where one of the Wins kept falling off his bike. I'm glad they won one. Oh well. I tried to find someplace on the net where I could see a replay but couldn't find one. Does anyone know where I could see the second half?

OMG, I just checked out the "return of the racers" section on the TAR site and hippy BJ had this to say:

If this episode taught us one thing, it's that it not who gets on the bus first - it's who gets on the RIGHT bus.

But there were other lessons to be learned. David & Mary taught us to keep your fanny pack on your fanny. Erwin & Godwin taught us that beauty sells more flowers than muscles. Tom & Terry taught us that although it might feel right to wrap your arms around a Vietnamese boy on a moped, Phil will get jealous. Lyn & Karlyn taught us, once again, that they sure do love to compare the Race to childbirth. Rob & Kimberly taught us nothing. And Dustin & Kandice taught us that they will not be upset if neither of them wins Miss Congeniality. They're going for the million dollar crown.

Speaking of which, Terry...Tom, whatever your name is, don't give Kandice the "I really thought we were friends" speech. We all heard you say on the first episode that you didn't come on the Race to make friends, so don't expect other racers to put your friendship before the last seats on a flight. I consider Lake my friend, but if we were racing a 100-yard dash tomorrow for 100 grand, I wouldn't be surprised if he threw an elbow my way. (Am I right, Yolanda?) Besides, those girls are pageant queens. You KNOW they are capable of anything.

In closing, I think the Roadblock should have been called, "Who's ready to peddle petals on pedals?"

And that's why we loved the hippies.
Brilliant

Hee hee!

"Tom & Terry taught us that although it might feel right to wrap your arms around a Vietnamese boy on a moped, Phil will get jealous."

My favorite quote!! Although the Lyn's incessant comparing the Race to childbirth comes in next... :D

Another good episode. I was hoping the non-amibiguously gay duo would be elimanated, not Duke and Lauren. Duke and Lauren seemed like they were enjoying the race, and I always like that in a team.

Dave & Mary did a really good job considering their lack of travel and Mary's sprained ankle. Poor Dave is so henpecked, he can't even tell an emotional story about his veteran dad without Mary telling him to drive faster. :coolshades:

I'm really rooting for the pageant girls now, they seem to really want to win. I actually like all the teams except the models (boring, how many models have been on the Amazing Race so far? It feels like way too many) , and the couple (too much nasty bickering).

Peter is still a jackass!

It was nice that the Win bros. won, after they took a moment of silence at the prison. That was a nice touch, and didn't hurt them in the end. Still loving Mary! Still hating Peter! Still looking for a Phil-pack!

You know, I'm on board with the whole "Peter is a condescending jackass" train now, but I get the feeling they'll be around for awhile. They seem to screw up royally every episode, but then make up ground and finish at or near the top.

Lyn/Karlynn, traveling around the world in a race is not like childbirth. I'm not even a woman and I know that. The constant comparisons are getting a little annoying. I'm ready for them to go away now.

EvilFern exists! Did her brother even go to the prison with Duke and Lauren like she said? Because I didn't see him. Duke and Lauren probably would've had enough money to pay the taxi if they didn't take EvilFern with them.

I don't have a team to root for yet. I really love Mary though. I loved it when her husband was telling a story about his father and Vietnam and she suddenly interrupts him to tell him to drive faster. And that was really sweet of her at the end with Tom and Terry.

Still looking for a Phil-pack!

I could be wrong because I didn't tape TAR but I am pretty sure that I did see a Phil-pack. I remember thinking that will make the recap, he was walking down a street I think explaining the flower challenge and his shirt was up in the breeze. Not enought to see some belly but enough to uncover that package of his.

Am I delusional and just dream this because I wanted a Phil-pack? Please tell me someone else saw this.

Yes, I noticed Phil went from untucked, to tucked, to untucked again. (referring to his shirt of course, not the unsettling "Silence of the Lambs" tucked)

So sad to see Duke & Lauren go, loved them. Now rooting for Kentucky & Win/Win. How did so many nice people get on one season? Then again, there is a balance with Peter & Rob. Did anyone else notice that somewhere along the line Rob became buddy-buddy with the models? Hmmm...could his displaced aggression towards Kimberly be his frustration over suppression of his true sexual preference? It's been awhile since Psych 101, does that sound right?

Fuggin' Kimberly totally snaked Peter at the John McCain flight suit. He walked in the door first, headed over to get the clue and Kimberly came sprinting in and grabbed it as it was being handed to him. He snatched it from her but then gave it back for whatever reason. She sucks. Peter leaving his partner behind to crawl through the rice fields was probably his form of tough love.

Was Lauren a lesb-i-an or something? Because her dad mentioned him wanting to change her sexuality when they drove by a bunch of girls walking down the street.

I have a question. The Roadblock clue said that they had to ride a bicycle to sell the flowers and a lot of them didn't. They just sold them in front of the flower shop. Shouldn't those teams be penalized for not following the clues correctly?

Good point ryan07. Since Tom & Jerry were faulted for not following the rules, so should the others?
Yes, tonyagasm, Lauren is gay which is a huge disappointment to her father. Which by the way, he took many an opportunity to tell us.

Nope, they followed the clue. Just watched it on Tivo. The clue was: Choose a bicycle with flowers and sell the flowers. There was nothing about having to ride the bicycle. Once they were done selling flowers, they had to go back to the flower shop to pick up more flowers if they didn't sell enough. So you could've just picked up the flowers from bicycle and start selling them there if you wanted too. But I suppose the cheap prices and the camera drove a lot of people to the shop and it was easier just to sell there.
