Great episode tonight, although I thought that the Claire autopsy thing was a bit of a letdown. And what happened to the cop? LOVED the Rain Man shoutout, and loved that we got a better idea of what Nikki's power is. Is she good or evil? Or just (ruthlessly) looking out for the overall best interest of Nikki?

And another great ending ... I didn't recognize Hiro at first, he looked so different. My favorite line: "You look different without your scar."

Loved it! Is it just me or did anybody notice how at the end Hiro got totally hot!!! Yum! Before he was just sweet and cuddly, now he would just push you down and....ummmm....you know....anyways.....
Who do you think they took? Niki or Nathan?

And do you think that Niki is two personalities or as someone else(can't remember who) said Niki's husband has morphed into her. I just ask because in the elevator she said,"If you threaten OUR son again, I'll put this through your head." Our as in ENiki/GNiki or Niki/husband? ENiki does fight like a guy.
So Claire just committed murder...this will be good for her already fragile psyche.
Now that Peter has been around Hiro, do you think he will be able to stop time?
Issac's eyes looked awesome when he was in his drug induced trance. (Wow, there's a sentence I never thought I would type)

Yes!!! Hiro looked way hot at the end, and he learned english? It looked like he had a sword? on his back and a cool ninja outfit.;)

I think they took Nathan cause Niki had that tatoo on her back. Seems they might want to study the emerging abilities. I think hers is like a split personality who will do all the dirty work for her.

My therory on Peter seams to be holding up. In the previews it showed him with the white eyes like Izack.

I like that she got revenge on the quarterback (murder might be taking it too far) but he's not going to rape or kill another girl. Saving the future from another Ted Bundy.

That ending though was just awesome. I was wondering who was talking to Peter in the commercials but never... NEVER expected it to be Hiro!! :eek: It looks like we're gonna be losing out enthusiastic dorky guy though :( Unless he was just "Matrix"ing it up to talk to Peter :P heh

From the commercials.. it looks like they take Nathan. Looks like they take him to the roof and he goes flying off UBER fast.

Also... do you think if Peter was surrounded by everyone with powers.. he'd be able to mimic them all? Or would it only work one at a time.
Also someone on the NBC boards mentioned about him mimicing the badguys' powers as well.

I couldn't understand in the previews why they said "Save the Cheerleader, Save the World" because Claire's indestructible. But maybe they mean "bring her back to the good side", since she is sort evil now (even if it was for a good reason).

I'm pretty sure she said "Our son"... I don't know about the husband being inside her, he's definetely a real person or how could nikki have a relationship with his mother? I think its just a split personality thing, more of a jekyl/hyde situation. After all, Other-Niki clearly has way more strength and power than Niki, not to mention the lack of morals thing. I don't think its JUST her looking out for Niki, either--I think she must just be kind of like the id--she just does what she wants. I don't think that sleeping with nathan was necessarily done to "protect" Niki ;)

Anyway, I LOVED this episode!! I don't know how I feel about Peter and Simone, though--it seems a little forced. But everything with the Cheerleader rocked (just imagine waking up on an autopsy table with your chest cut open???) and it was super creepy when Bad Glasses Man was interrogating her about staying out all night. Man I can't wait for next week!

He has to have been real at some time to be able to father a child, but maybe somehow his personality got absorbed into Niki's? I'm not convinced it's a split personality. That's how it seemed since day one but it's just too obvious. I think it'll be more interesting than that and more of a surprise. Of course, I could be giving the writers way more credit than they deserve. Maybe "split personality" was the best they could come up with. :)

They are two different people, and they posted the pics from idmb. The black man with Claire's father is only refered to as "Mystery Man", while the guy who plays Micah's dad is DL. Ok - so Claire is destructable. If whatever "kills" her stays like the branch she is a gonner. Plus in earlier previews they show her hooked up to the same machine as the cop was. The artist painted her with the dark force above her while she attempted to run away. This could explain why they would have to save her.

The brother to the politician whos name is escaping me right now, has I think the best power, being able to adapt to others powers.

The cop was still able to make out Claire even with the guy in the room. Its interesting how fast these powers are comming on.

Hiro is my main man - I love him all buff, but it is nice to know that I still love him as a dork too! It was a shock to realize the friend knew English and when he went off on the gambler and then the guy punched Hiro - Priceless!

Nikki did say our son but I highly doubt that her husband is in there with her as a second personality. It just doesn't seem right. Her tough personality only comes on when there is danger about to happen. She has looked in the mirror and her reflection plenty of times without the tough one coming on, but when she was at the elevator it sensed trouble and came out. I believe they took the politician instead of Niki.

Claires dad is a bad man, but I get the feeling he is working for someone else.

He was in the process of trying to rape her when he killed her (semantics I know). I am not saying that Claire didn't do the right thing, I was grinning like an idiot when she was quizzing him and speeding (it was obvious what she was going to do). What I am saying though is that she is already having a hard time with this whole power thing, then while trying to be a "normal kid" she ends up becoming a victim and now she used her power to kill someone....not sure she is in the right mental state to handle it. Seems like she is taking a quick trip to Evilsville or at least CompletelyNotStableDoesDaddiesEvilBiddingsVille.

I don't know ... you could make an argument that by sleeping with Flyboy, it would get the Mafia off of her back (whether or not that would really happen is a different question) and might be her best interest overall. Don't know how the bad guys popping up plays into that. We'll see what happens next week, and how it works out for her. :scared:

I think it's just a double personality. I do want to see how her powers are going to evolve though.

And also if you remember, the coroner mentioned that Claire's body was found naked and appeared to have been dragged blah blah etc.

I love this show. It keeps me guessing at each turn. The Vegas hotel sign looked like it said Montecito (like in the show Las Vegas?) Did anyone else see that? Nikki did say "our son" in the elevator, and boy can that girl kick some ass. Hiro and Ando needed her outside.
What happened to the cop? Anyone know?

The poor doctor in the morgue. Can you imagine what was going thru her mind?I wish Mohander would have believed Peter some, and they should have just gone in Isaac's studio when he didn't answer.

Yesterday's was the first ending that I didn't quite care for. Apparently other powers Hiro has are the ability to learn flawless English as an adult in a short enough time that he doesn't visibly age beyond a soul patch, and the ability to spout cheesy time travel lines like pointing out how different someone looks without a scar ("You've got a scar, and I've got a soul patch, dude! That's how much we've changed 'cause I'm from the future!" Seriously, I hate when writers do that). All this in addition to being able to find someone's exact location through time and space.

We know that not everyone is going to be good, but I don't like that Cheerleader Girl has turned into a murderous vigilante. But that's only in how I feel about the character, so that's fine. Where the writers failed us was that old trick of the protagonist about to do something wrong, so they pile on justification by having the villain say vile things. That's a minor quibble, but it still annoyed me because I've seen this many times before. He's a repeat rapist, so we know he's a bad guy. Why not have him kick a kitten before getting in the car too?

But there were things I liked.
Cheerleader Girl breaking down on the stairs was a very real reaction to everything she had just gone through.

Sybil Woman finally got to show us her other side in action. Kicked thug ass, good. Slept with a married man, not good. What other naughty things will she do? And is this an actual power, or is she just insane?

Super Hiro is a horrible cheat. And I mean that in both meanings. Four Queens beats three Aces, so get the other two Queens out of the deck instead of taking cards out of someone else's hand. But I enjoyed that he made that mistake. Carelessness is interesting.

Bland Younger Brother Boy's power should be very interesting. He absorbs the powers of anyone he's around. That would make him the equal of anyone he faces, but I hope he can't just use the powers because everyone seems to be learning theirs.
What to watch for: He will be shot, stabbed, or something at some point in the series but Cheerleader Girl will save his life.

May1 - It was the Montecito that they were in, my husband and I both noticed that too.

I love this show - I think it's my favorite new show of the season! I wonder if they have to save the cheerleader from her creepy dad, and that's how they save the world? I also don't think she killed the QB - but he probably won't be raping anyone else anytime soon.
