...the freakin' Hippies. Mediocre season, disappointing ending, for me at least. I know others have Hippie love, but I don't feel it.

When the teams did the detour where they had to carry the girl in the box, did anyone else think those girls looked like really bad drag queens? Especially Ray & Yolanda's. Was that part written in the clue, because I missed it if it was.

JeansPhil! Very nice to see you.

sorry Electra- I LOVE that the hippies won! They were the most gracious, and I've loved them all along, so...all is good in the world today. Karma, world peace, whatever. They won fair and square and deserved to.

I know, I know. To each her own and all that :)

I was impressed with Tyler's knowledge of Japanese. But I still don't like them.

T'TOW!!! Dang, that made me happy! And right after Survivor too!

But now I'm worried about Big Brother.

But it doesn't matter, the Hippies won! The smile is still plastered across my face. :)

Congrats hippies! After a few disappointments for me losing my favorite contestant/s in other shows I watch I am happy to see my favorites from day 1 win the Amazing Race! I thought they were great and they added a little bit of mischief to this season along with the frat boys. It was pretty funny to me after the frat boys finished they were asked who gave them the nickname and they said that they were college dropouts. =)

My two favorite moments occured on the mat at the end. First Eric admitted to being dumb when he said something to the effect of "who would have thought the final challenge would come down to brains" and then Tyler was explaining winning and used the word cerebral and then quickly rephrased the sentence and used the word brain. It's almost as if he knew half of the veiwing audience would have no idea what he was talking about. While I wasn't thrilled that they won, it was a nice moment for them (although had Bertram decided to do a quick cut to mojo's faces and the utter disappointment we all know they were pouting would have made it better). Jeric was totally pissed they'd have to go back to their crummy jobs but now Jeric can go on adventures...together. If there's ever an all-star type show (which i would groan about but watch nontheless) I hope those boys and the nerds get to come back.

I picked the top three in the right order! WOO HOO! I was really pulling for Ray and Yolanda but am very happy with the outcome. I liked all three teams in the finale. There was waaaaay too much tv on last night that I wanted to see.

::shrug:: It's just the show was anticlimatic with the hippies winning. I guess on reality shows we don't like people who are consistently good and win every challenge. It's nice seeing other people win I suppose. I'm also glad that the last challenges are now time consuming puzzles so other teams can catch up. Ray & Yolanda were a lost cause... they were perpetually lost during the whole season.

Highlight of the episode: Ray & Yolanda accidentally interrupting the Hippies & Frats in bathrobes... damnit, if Raylonda didn't interrupt something might've happened between the two team. It was a quite a romantic atmosphere. Besides, it would lead to jokes like, who gets to be on top (top "capsule" that is). ;) But I suppose the unintentional jokes did happened when Jeric were pushing the ice fishing hut which led to random comments about how hard it is to push it in... haha... I'm sure B-Side will show the picture again.

The maiden challenge was quite funny since "The Maidens" weren't quite... um... attractive in the common sense. They looked like Gwen Steffani's back-up singers!

I thought it was a great ending to the Race! I loved the last three teams and would have been happy had any of them won. :o

Did any of you hear that they are doing an All-Star season of TAR? A friend of mine told me last night and though I smell bullshit, I didn't want to call it until I checked my sources.

How great was Phil's eyebrow when the hippies were running to the finish line? I hope we get a screenshot of that!

I literally jumped up and down on my couch with glee when the hippies won! Goooooo hippies! Now I'm going to be AR-less for an indeterminate amount of time. Sadness. Anyone know when it comes back? Is there really going to be an All-Star version?

I didn't feel it was anticlimatic for the hippies to win. They came in last in two non-elims. They came in next to last when Lake and Michelle were booted. They may have had a lot of luck, but Jeric was the more consistent team. I really thought the frats would win the race. But the hippies were still pretty strong throughout, so I understand where you're coming from Double L. ;) And I agree about those maidens... I think that they picked the skeeziest Harajuku girls they could find.

Congrats! I also picked the final three and chose the hippies to win in the TVgasm contest, but I had Raylonda in second and Jeric in third. So close!

It was a really good season finale. The tasks were awesome especially those 3 rides overlooking Mount Fuji.

It was a good season and a great finale.

Derder: I have no idea if there are plans for a TAR All-Star season. I was asking in my post if anyone had heard this since a friend of mine told me about it. I'm skeptical because I can't find anything about it on the web. anybody know?
