Yowza! What an exciting episode!!! The rescue kept me on the edge of my seat. When Galactica was hurtling towards the planet (where are they again?) and then jumped at the last minute... very cool.

I thought the Kara and Casey thing was just heartbreaking. I know we only had one episode to get used to mommy Kara, but I bought into it totally and almost got a little misty eyed at the end. I know, I know... I'm talking to a bunch of boys here and real men don't cry, blah blah blah. But trust me... it was sad.

Why does D'Anna want Hera so badly? Or more to the point, why don't any of the other cylon chicks want her as badly? Especially the cylon who's the same model as Hera's mom. I guess they don't really have a connection, though, so why would Boomer/Sharon/whoever-she-is care, right?

Of course we knew Apollo would save the day, didn't we? That was to be expected. But I didn't expect Pegasus to be destroyed like that! Speaking of Apollo... anyone else buying his marriage to Dualla? I'm just not feeling it.

Okay... so why did Tigh kill his wife? And after finding out how far she went to save him!?! Is it some sort of military code of honor when one is betrayed? Fool me once... bang. You're dead.

What a great episode. I thought that the last scene of Colonel and Mrs. Tigh was amazing, and heartbreaking. Never expected anything that good from those two characters. I didn't expect Pegasus to be destroyed, either, but I'm glad that they did; seemed like they didn't quite know what to do with it in some of last year's episodes.

So what happened to Baltar?

I'm finally all caught up. Season 1, 2, and what has aired of 3.

This show is amazing.

Baltar is one of my faves. I hope he made it out okay. I'm thinking he must have gone back for Hera.

I really hope Apollo gets back in shape, he looks so funny.

Pretty funny.

Did you guys know that Richard Hatch (Tom Zarek) played Apollo in the original BSG? That's kinda cool. Just found that out

I knew, but only because I read about it on scifi.com or somewhere else before it started airing. There was a big hullabaloo about Starbuck being a female in the remake and everyone wanted to know how Hatch felt about it. I'm not sure if they ever asked Dirk Benedict about it, since he played Starbuck originally. Also, I think Zarek's part was only supposed to be one or two episodes long. Another also... every time I read the previews for an episode and see that Richard Hatch is going to be in it, I think of the big, naked guy from Survivor. Every. Single. Time. :gag:

Yes, it was quite the amazing episode and both Kara/Casey and Tigh/Mrs. Tigh were so very well done. Tigh's character is amazing this year. So complicated and much more than just a drunk XO.

In the original series, Baltar also co-exists with the Cylons. I can't remember what his exact leadership role was, but it was fairly major. I think he led the Cylons as they chased Galactica and the rest of the fleet in space.

I was just researching topics on wiki (parallel universes, superluminal space travel, worms holes etc)...then I started to look into the original BSG, and I read something about "Count Baltar" and the cylons. Don't remember exactly.

Anyway, I also read that a new series called "Caprica" is being worked on. It will take place before the first cylon war (like 50 years ago) and will follow the Adama family and what led up to the cylon war etc. (I think).
