Is anybody else excited to see Genie Francis come back as Laura Spencer this week? Luke and Laura have always been one of, well, pretty much *the* daytime couple for me, and I can't wait to see them together again, even if it is only for a limited time. They have so much history together, and just...I mean it's Luke and Laura! I wasn't old enough to see their wedding (which I can't believe was 25 years ago now!) but I remember when they came back in the 90s, and I just loved them soooo much. Eeeee. I can't wait to see what happens with this storyline!

Yep - I am looking forward to her return to GH. I was old enough and my Mom let me stay home from school that day to watch the "Wedding of the Century."
It's still the only soap opera 'love story' I know of based on a rape...

Yeah people always conveniently forget the rape part of the story. I even remember the song he raped her to. Darn that Chuck Mangione. And what a wedding - Liz Taylor in the hallway and Scotty capturing the bouquet.

I didnt see the wedding back in the 80s, but I've seen pieces of it on video, etc, and I remember when TG and GF came back in 93 (the dancing the in diner, etc.). I read that Soapnet's going to air the Luke and Laura wedding episodes sometime soon (I'll see if I can find the date) and I will definitely be DVRing that because I want to see it.

I just really want to see the two of them act together again. They have such awesome chemistry. And I love that even non-soap watching people know who Luke and Laura are. :)
