I stayed in Hawaii for a month when I was 10; my father was out there for about a year for a job, so we got to go out. It really is a gorgeous place, and it's not something you're likely to forget quickly.

So Sundai of the weird name and weird voice and profile pictures is finally gone. At last Tyra and company got it right!

I felt bad for little Sundai when Tyra and Co. were making fun of her voice. Not cool.

They keep trying to convince me that Erin sucks. But it's not working. The more they show of her, the more endearing she becomes. She's just young, people (talking to the producers here) stop picking on her so much.

Of course they knew that she'd be left out in the picking who gets the extra frames bullshit thing. And they of course chose to do this on a shoot where having a second go was pretty much essential to getting a decent shot at it.

They're picking on her, showing the bits where she (like pretty much any 18-year-old) says stupid shit -- and preserving the others from the same treatment so she'll look all that much worse by comparison.

And of course their photo criticisms are all entirely arbitrary from week to week, girl to girl....

So if she doesn't get kicked out next week, then I'm expecting her to win. Nicole's just too much the obvious choice at this point. And as cute as she is, Laura's just a fish out of water.

They gave Jennifer the win this week partly not to give it Nicole, but mostly because she has to go next week. Her and Laura.

Actually, now that Sundude is gone, I like all these girls. Maybe it's because they're all shorter than me. Flatters my male ego.

I have decided after reading the Survivor forum that you dear sir, are a masochist (said with love). If you were feeling just Erin I could conclude that you had a soft spot for youngin’s who whine (although I do agree with you that with a few years Erin will most likely mature and move away from the personality traits that are edited to their worst light on this show). However, seeing as how you are also feeling Monica from Survivor, I just plain pity you. =) Perhaps we can arrange an intervention for you. Yes these girls are attractive, but would you really want to spend more than five minutes (one minute?) with them without a sizeable amount of duck tape over their mouths?
All that said, I have loved your previous posts and many have caused me to laugh out loud and agree with you. On the topic of Erin and Monica though, I will start the covert machinations of an intervention!

Never said I was 'feeling' Monica (I'm from a different generation, no way I'd ever use that expression anyway!), only that she's up there with the hottest Survivorettes. Which includes Parvatti, for what that's worth. And the bitchy gal from a couple seasons back, the one with Sugar.

So it's not a personality contest. Personality wise, so far, Monica's been a bit of a drip. Though she started to show a bit of gameplay last episode.

There's just something about Erin that tugs at my heartstrings. Just can't help myself. I mean, I was almost on board with the evil edit, until they showed her acknowledging that she's young and immature in one of her interviews. That was enough to redeem her. Maybe because I was probably even more of an idiot when I was her age.

Aw Itchy, I'm sorry for your loss last night. If tonight Monica is voted off Survivor you gotta know that someone has hit you withe some crazy voodoo curse or something. However, if after tonight Monica remains on TV you're cool.

BTW, this is the first time that I ever watched Survivor, so I have nothing to compare Monica to. I was rooting for her based upon her status to begin with, and than she annoyed me... Go figure.

Well, I'm on a time lag for watching these shows, so don't spoil it for me!

I'm slowly coming to grips with Erin's ouster. Hold on a sec. Okay, done.

Anyway, I liked all final four girls, which is a very rare thing for a show like this. There's no question Nicole's got something special in front of the camera. Kind of goofy looking when she's not. Still, Laura doesn't stand a chance (although she had that amazing Ann Margaret thing going during the beach shoot).

I think they gave Jen speed before her interviews.
