That was an excellent episode. First of all, good call to everyone who predicted who Claire's father would be.
I'm glad they didn't pussyfoot around Claire and her mom revealing their powers to each other. They just got that out in the open so we could move on to more important things.
George Takei is awesome. I hope that's not the end of him. His sister is pretty attractive, too.
I love the training with Eccleston and Peter. I hope this goes on for a while, because it's awesome. So much better than a training montage to "Eye of the Tiger," followed by Peter saying, "Wow! That sure was difficult! Good thing I have now mastered my powers!" (which was clearly the only other option the writers could have taken).
Mrs. Bennett obviously knows more than we think. By the look on her face during the hilariously innuendo-filled discussion with Sylar about Claire's "talents", she already knows what Claire can do.
Still boring: Whats-her-name (Isaac/Peter's girlfriend), and most definitely Niki/Jessica. Oh no! She's out of jail and she might hurt someone! And Jessica's in charge and Niki's trapped in a mirror! Please do something better with this. I would have rather watched the Scrabble game with Micah than the stupid stuff with her in the institution. That barely advanced the plot.

But other than that, a great episode. Looks like Mohinder's back next episode. But I don't think I'll hate him as much because he's teaming up with Sylar, and from the looks of it, he doesn't know who Sylar is. So at least Mohinder's finally doing something.

That episode was brilliant! I loved it all....and then was letdown with nikki too! I was kinda excited and thought it would go somewhere when she wooped up/killed? the psychologist. So peter keeps everyone's power, I didn't get that from the last episode. Im kinda glad peter didn't fly but rather regenerated. I wonder if the Eraser just erases some of Mrs.Bennets memory but keeps the fact that claire has powers in tact.

As for mohinder and sylar, that is awesome, good twist there. Also Isaac and HRG together too, somehow I didn't think that would happen, or maybe I missed something. So now they think peter is the bad guy, I wonder how that will turn out. Sylar is such a great villain, I loved how he acted during the meeting with Mrs Bennet and with Mr. Bennet (I thought it was clever they still didn't reveal his first name). God can't wait till next episodeeee, Matt vs Nikki it looks like

You know a show is really good when you don't want it to end, and I REALLY didn't want this episode to end. I was so caught up in everything. The tension that built between Sylar and Mrs. B was un-nerving. The sink or swim method that Eccleston used on Peter worked perfect and when it got outta control, he just popped him one. That was great. Isaac has speed painting down pat. He was doing huge canvases, one right after another.

There's just too much to talk about....can't wait for J-Unit to recap !!!

p.s. I was so afraid Sylar was gonna hurt Mrs. B's little dog, and he looks just like my Milo.

I'm not sure that Mrs Bennet's reaction to Sylar's chatter about Claire was because she knows anything. I think it was more the reaction of a mother to hearing a man Sylar's age talking about her teenage daughter's "talents". I got the feeling Mrs Bennet thought Sylar's interest in Claire was on the creepy side.

I'm assuming Isaac is working with HRG to find Peter because they both know Peter will be the human bomb that destorys New York. Also if HRG takes Peter away than Isaac can take a stab at getting Simone back. I also loved the training between the Invisible Man and Peter. Interesting that HRG knows who the Invisible Man is or at least that was the impression I got when Isaac told him that Peter was like a ghost or invisible. HRG has been tracking down people with powers for a long time now, I guess. Did it start when he adopted Claire and found out she was indestructable or did he adopt her because he already knew?

So Nathan is Claire's daddy. Well, that makes the scene between Peter and Claire kinda sick. Nathan sure does get around and not in a good way. Dude, keep it in your pants!

Enough with the Niki/Jessica storyline, more Hiro or jedi training, please.

Oh, and I'm assuming we're all on the same page in thinking that Claire's real Mom started the fire to get rid of her inconvenient bastard child and is not happy that Claire is still alive, right?

I didn't even think of that. I assumed she was a total alcoholic and just got drunk off her ass and lost control of her powers. Which makes me think it's a good thing that so far none of these people are avid drinkers. Because they could do a lot of damage. We all better hope once Hiro gets his sword that he doesn't become an alcoholic. Because he could fuck a lot of shit up.

Did anyone else notice Claire's mom(not bio) and her eyes that blinked at different times. The left eye was like double timing the right . . . really good acting?

Marla was like that cut on the roof of your mouth that would heal if only you could stop tonguing it, but you can't.

Well, clearly!

But I agree... I love Eccleston in this role and the fact that he's almost comic relief (but, obviously not on the level of Hiro). The way he punched Peter in the face... brilliant! And I've been wanting to do that for a few months, now, so I was really happy!

PS: I just read that the actress who plays Simone tried out for Niki/Jessica. I guess the bore factor would have been the same, huh?

I totally agree. When t-bag mentioned he thought she was acting like that because Mrs. Bennet knew about Claire, I was surprised. I didn't read it like that at all.

One thing about this scene that I thought sucked was the acting. If Zachary Quinto could have pulled off an Aaron Stampler type character (Primal Fear), that scene would have been chilling. Instead it was just barely creepy.

I've watched Homecoming quite a few times now and I still don't see this chemistry between Peter and Claire that other people are seeing. He really seemed to be looking at her like she was a kid, and the way he spoke about her in last night's episode sort of enforced that.

That would be interesting. I just assumed her mom wasn't used to her powers and couldn't contain them. Hell, Nathan only just realized he had powers, so maybe Claire's mom didn't even know back then.
